  Policies of Living Water Spiritual Center  (As amended April 2010)

Thank you for choosing to hold your event at Living Water Spiritual Center (LWSC).   All faith-based adult and supervised youth groups are welcome at the Center without regard to their religious affiliation.  We welcome organizations seeking space for staff renewal/educational purposes. Please be sure each person attending follows these policies

  •  BookingYour booking is considered tentative and not confirmed until your deposit has been received.  Bookings are based on a group basis.  We cannot break down fees for individuals who plan to arrive late, leave early, or will otherwise be missing a portion of the event.

  • Deposit:  A non-refundable deposit is required for each meeting room reserved.  Your deposit guarantees and confirms your reservation. The deposit is due upon receipt of contract.  This amount will be deducted from the final bill.

  • Guarantees: Ten (10) business days before your group arrives we must receive your final count. Email names of participants, room setup desired, and all medical/allergy dietary requirements to info@retreatinmaine.com.  This is the guaranteed minimum upon which your bill will be calculated.  Late additions will incur a $10.00 administration fee each.  

  • Payment Terms: Final payment is due upon arrival with one check made payable to Living Water Spiritual Center.  Payment is due for the guaranteed or actual number of attendance whichever is greater

  • Adjustments to Bill:  Adjustments will not be made to the final bill for individuals that did not attend, arrived late, or left early.                

  • Arrival:  Please have your group arrive no more than one hour before your meeting begins.  If the leader would like to arrive earlier, call the Center to check availability.

  • Departure: Please depart at your scheduled time.  Staff schedules are determined around your arrival and departure times.      

  • Cancellations: If you need to cancel due to low registration, please let us know ten business days in advance.  No additional amount will be due.

  • Parking/Entrance: When arriving at the Center please follow the driveway to the right and park behind the building. Use the rear building entrance.  You will be given a code to let yourselves in during your stay.

  • Meal Times:  8:00 - Noon - 5:30.  The larger meal is generally served at noon with a lighter supper in the evening unless otherwise noted. (If your program ends with brunch, a pickup  breakfast will be available in the morning with brunch served at 10:30 am) 

  • Meals: All group meals and snacks are provided by the Center.  Our buffet includes healthful, balanced, and diverse options, including the main entrée, one or more salads/vegetables, appropriate starches, and dessert.  We rely heavily on fresh produce, using local sources whenever possible.    Please do not remove food from the snack room or dining room upon your departure. Meals are provided during your stay only. 

  • Dietary Needs:  If anyone in your group is on a restricted diet due to allergies or medical needs please notify us 10 business days in advance to allow time for ordering supplies.  Those with non-allergy/non-medical dietary needs are welcome to bring supplements. 

  • Handicap Accessibility: A stairlift is available for those who find stairs difficult.  Please let us know in advance of any physical needs you or someone in your group has so that we can do everything possible to meet their needs. 

  • Smoking: Smoking is not allowed anywhere in the building.  State law requires smokers to keep 20 feet from the building.

  • Photocopies:  Please see the Director.  For emergency use only.  We charge $.25 per copy, per side for black and white photocopies.

  • Incense and candles:  If you wish to incorporate lit candles into your program and in your meeting room, please speak with the staff director.  We do not allow candles or incense in bedrooms. 

  • Evaluations:  We value your opinion.  At the end of your program, each guest will have the opportunity to evaluate your stay.  Please share your thoughts with us.  

Overnight Groups

  •  Minimum:  We require a minimum of 10 to hold any overnight event. 

  • Rooms Reserved:  We have 29 private bedrooms.  The Center can host two or three groups per weekend.   It is essential that we have an accurate count of people staying overnight so that we do not over- or under-book the facility.  If you reserve space for 20+ people, we cannot book another group in the Center.  Therefore, you will be billed for a minimum of 15 participants, even if fewer attend. 

  • Silence:  We ask that you keep silence on the bedroom floor in respect for others who are staying at the Center.

  • Bedrooms:  Our bedrooms are single units.  Before leaving the Center, we ask those who are able to please remake your bed with clean sheets that you will find in your closet.  Laundry chutes are located on the bedroom hallway for towels and sheets.
